Oneida County,
New York
Population: 229,577
Oneida County is located in the Central New York Region. The Partnerships project was led by the Oneida County Department of Health (OCDH). During the planning phase, OCDH analyzed data from the Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMAP), the Health Hub and Syringe Exchange Programs and other naloxone administration programs, the New York State Department of Health Electronic Syndromic Surveillance System, and medical examiner toxicology reports and drug-related death data. Potential project activities included expanding the public-facing dashboard related to drug overdoses and trends; expanding peer overdose outreach activities; establishing an overdose fatality review board; and initiating a fentanyl test strip project.
